I probably went a bit daft with the last server we were looking to get, so i have revised it. The problem is with these servers, we cannot update them, we can`t even add any more ram to them, they have 8 gig.

I am getting proper quotes tomorrow, but from a quick look on the net.

Intel Xeon 5600 family of processors (not sure which one yet)
16/32 gig ram
Hdds, case etc etc

is about $5,000.

but the good thing is, they have space for 2 processors, so we can add another one if we need to, they also have space for 288/144 gig of ram depending on what size ram sticks we get. 1 16 gig stick is about 3-4 times the amount of 1 8 gig stick, so it will probably be 8 gig sticks we get, which means we can upgrade to 144 gig ram max in the future, if we ever need to go that far, but the option is nice to have.

I am still nowhere near being able to afford it though (so dont expect a server update anytime soon), but it is something to save up for.
