As you might have noticed, the site and tracker were offline for a bit. Reason for this was something we thought was a DDoS, but was actually ľTorrent hammering the tracker at such a rate it appeared to be a DDoS. This was caused by a bug in ľTorrent which has been confirmed. The bug affects certain builds of ľTorrent v2.0.3 and 2.0.4. You safest bet is to update right now to the latest ľTorrent. Go and download it.

At the same time as our tracker and hence, database, were being hammered to near death, it seems like something went Terrible Wrong (tm) and as a result, we suffered considerable data-loss. Certain information (source, video, audio, descriptions) was lost for almost 2.000 torrents. We're still trying to get our hands on a recent backup, to possibly restore more than the 7.000 torrents we already restored, but this is not guaranteed to happen.

Instead of keeping the site down while waiting, we decided to put together some tools that enable you to help us retrieve the lost information. While we're at it, we'd actually like to expand the information we keep in separate fields in the database a bit, as some things were previously only kept in the description (such as resolution and bitrates).

    Here's how that works:
On the browse pages and a variety of other pages, there will be new icons that weren't there before: a little flag in either red, yellow or green indicating the status of a torrent.

If the flag is red; source, video, audio and description information were lost and we need to retrieve those, as well as inserting extra information.
If the flag is yellow; everything is still there, but we'd like to extract information like bitrates and resolution from the description.
If the flag is green, the torrent in question has been cleared and found fit for duty.

Right now, every single one of you can edit the details for torrents with a red flag. Naturally, you'd want to start with torrents you already have instead of wasting ratio on a torrent just for the sake of fixing it. For that purpose, you can cross-reference your snatchlist with the current list of red-flagged torrents by clicking the red flag in the upper right corner of the header.
Alternatively, you can just view thelist of currently red flagged torrents.
Again, the red flagged torrents are editable by everyone!
In order to edit a torrent, click on the title to go to the details page, and there, you'll see [edit torrent] next to the Name in the details-table.

As for the yellow flags, these are only editable by VIP's and up. Perhaps at a later stage they will be opened up to more people; depending on how serious our VIP's and other users with a golden key take the task of copying information from the description to some other fields.

Now, goem, we depend on you more than ever. Go forth, and make us proud!

    Thank you
