It feels like just a few weeks ago I was writing up our 5 year anniversary post. Yet here we are again for another milestone, 6 years for ScienceHD. We have gone through some major changes and improvements through 2014 and the beginning of 2015. We are certainly on track to make 2015 another great year here for us. A few notable changes/upgrades from our last birthday celebration,

• We have a fancy new server that seems to be doing quite well after we worked out all the bugs (thanks to the users for their help)
• Redefined what we offer here and we think it has been a great step forward
• Had to close down donations for half the year because of our awesome users who help us out. We can not thank you enough!
• Starting up our Encoder and Librarian class with great success.

We were thinking of what we could give back to our users, we stumbled upon something that we thought you would love to have. In 1965 (when **** was 80) National Geographic released their first documentary called "Americans on Everest". Being the first TV special for National Geographic it is pretty hard to find a copy of it. Well after 50 years, we've finally found it! The TV special was rerun in 2013 and with the help of several people we've tracked a copy down. Our encoding team has encoded it and it has been sticky'd for the remainder of this month. Now if that wasn't good enough for you read below.....

• 1 Week (plus a day for good measure) Site wide Freeleech! This will end on May 1st 12:01AM UTC. Remember all seeding and HnR rules apply with a Freeleech!

• Everyone who is in our IRC channel (at the time of this post) will get 75,000 Credits plus a limited edition Birthday badge will be added to their profile! This will not be sold in the shop ever!

• From April 22nd to April 28th we will have daily forum games hosted by Fuzzypants, around Midnight UTC every night a new game will pop up on the Forum Games section of our forum. All games will run until May 1st 12:01AM UTC. This is to give everyone a fair chance to play. More details will be given when each game is announced. Don't miss your chance at some fun prizes! I will drop a Fuzzy hint for you, it is highly suggested that you take part in every game, wink wink! Answers and prizes will be announced the following week.

We would like to tip our hat to our users, and staffers old and new for another fantastic year behind us and hopefully many more great years to come! We might have a small user base but we have an excellent community!
