If you've been with us a while, you've seen our food drives a few times. If you're new to Waffles, you can take a look at one of our past food drives.

With the upcoming Thanksgiving(s) and Winter season, there is a bigger demand on food banks to supply food for the hungry. We'd like to encourage everyone to help out by donating nonperishable items to your local food bank.

If you don't know where to find your nearest food bank, here is an (incomplete) listing of food banks world wide. Also, at this time of year, many neighborhood grocery stores will begin placing boxes out to collect items. As long as you are able to provide photo-proof of the donation, you can take your food anywhere you'd like.

If you're Canadian or American, and would like to do something more in line with feeding a family for Thanksgiving, check out the basket brigade, where volunteers donate a basket filled with all of the items for a Thanksgiving dinner.

What's in it for me?

You will receive 100 points for each can or box of food donated.

What are the rules?

After packing your items in a bag or box, attach a piece of paper or card that includes your username

Take a photo of your items, with your username in clear view

Deliver your item(s) to your local food bank, and take a photo of it at the drop location

Post your photos, along with a total count of your items to this thread

Note: There is no limit to the amount of times you can donate. However, please do not edit your posts once you have been awarded points. Please make a new post for each time that you donate.
