Violent Sun is a trio from Lansing, MI that formed in 2009. Mitch Hall plays the kit, Alex Krausman plays keys and vox, and Louis Rudner is on the double bass. Their music has been referred to a molten mix of nu-jazz, molten rock, sun-sludge, and some radiohead-ish-ness. Their first release was recorded at Backseat Productions in Ann Arbor, and mastered/produced by Jim Roll.
