Requests are the best encouragement for users to find and upload rare, interesting, or new content to the site that otherwise might be overlooked. We've seen everything from rare albums to rare books, pre-releases to instrumentals, studio masters to scratch tracks. As of this writing, our stats box says we have 304,222 requests, of which 75.40% are filled. This percentage is an incredible accomplishment already, but What.CD can do even better.

Today, we are launching our first request contest in several years - our goal is to nudge the fill percentage ever closer towards perfection!





Who can participate?
Everyone can participate in this contest! Unless you've abused your request privileges and a moderator removed them, you can fill requests and earn points.

When does the contest run?
The contest starts today, 2 November, and ends on 1 January at 23:59 site time.

How can I participate?
Fill any valid request created before 2 November at 0400 site time and you can earn points!

Points? Points!
The points awarded for a request fill are a sum of the following factors:

• 1 point for filling any request of any type
• +1 point for filling a request in the "Music" category
• +3 points if the torrent filling the request is a Perfect FLAC
• +0.083 point for each month the request is old, adding just under 1 point per year.

For example, the request for a vinyl rip of Daft Punk's Random Access Memories would earn 1 point for the fill, 1 point for it being a Music category torrent, 3 points for being a Perfect FLAC, and 3.32 points for being about 40 months old. The total points added to the leaderboard for the filler would be 8.32.

Fine Print Rules:

• Unfilling and re-filling requests to gain points will result in you being disqualified from the contest and any other punishment staff sees fit.
• Keep in mind all our request rules still apply - all users must have an equal chance to fill all requests. Making a request for a specific user or trying to "claim" a request to fill is not permitted.
• The prize packs and award groups are subject to change at any time.
• All prizes are given at staff discretion.
