Last Night's Downtime (Back to good news!)

At this point we want to say a big thanks to all of the users that came from far and wide to try and help out with our recovery efforts, but in the end it was due to the tremendous efforts of one of our own developers (porkpie) that we have managed to recover almost all of the information lost on the torrents we recovered after the crash!
You'll notice that there is no longer any (OK, there's 7 left but who's going to worry about them?) torrents with the dreaded "Unknown" media/bitrate.


The site was down earlier today partly to upgrade the cache system, which is now sharded over two servers with more to follow.
We are pleased to announce that the other reason for the downtime was to test the new backup system, which is working perfectly.
