It has become apparent over the past few months that as the forums continue to grow, they are becoming ever more of a moderational challenge. Where once there were only thirty regulars, and moderation was a case of one or two people reading the forum every so often, we now have hundreds (if not more) semi-regular and regular forum posters. While the current staff has and can continue to stay abreast of forum reports, not everything is reported and there are far more posts per day than we can read. In site-essential forums such as the Help forum, that presents a substantial problem in need of fixing. That is why today, we are pleased to introduce the Forum Moderator class, whose job will be to ensure that we as a staff continue to perform that role to the standard it deserves. Over the past few days, we have begun training and promoting certain users to this position. These users and future forum moderators will keep their current accounts.

We hope that this class will make our moderation of the forums both more consistent and more approachable, as well as enabling us to resolve any problems in a more timely matter. They will be in charge of moving/trashing and renaming threads as well as issuing verbal warnings and answering forum-related questions. As always, you can help the moderation of the site by reporting posts you think violate our chat rules.
