We've had a lot of hack attempts lately. Our best guess at this point is that some sites database may have leaked out, giving the hackers a list of usernames, emails, and possibly even passwords to use in their hack attempts.


1. If you use the same password here as on other sites, CHANGE IT NOW. We cannot stress enough how dumb it is to use the same password for multiple sites.

2. Secure your email. Use a complex password for your email which includes lowercase and capital letters, numbers, and special characters (!@#$%, etc.). You should be doing the same for your password here.


If you get a PM from the System telling you that someone failed in their attempts to login to your account, please follow the instructions in that System PM and forward it to us via a Staff PM to the Moderator class. Please do not PM individual staffers regarding hack attempts.

If you get an email from x264.me informing you that someone attempted to reset your password via your email, please DOUBLE CHECK that your email is secure and that your email password is sufficiently complex. Then send a Staff PM to the Moderator class, and copy and paste the attempted password reset email into that PM.
