This announcement is due to the increasing complaints by users unfamiliar with 10.8 and Gatekeeper. Gatekeeper is Apple's new way to stop possibly malicious software/installers from opening on Mac OS X 10.8. It is also a problem for users trying to open cracked applications/games or installers.

Also we should add the Game Center will not recognize cracked/pirated games. Game Center was designed for legally purchased Mac App Store games.

When Gatekeeper's monitoring is on, you are shown the error trying to open a cracked game or application or even when you try to open an unsigned installer.

Why don't we learn to control Gatekeeper?
