Well what news do i have for you all?

Now that Christmas is over and it is now 2011 and you have all enjoyed our little Open Signups for the month of December. As you can see we have now got a Home Page, even though when you log in you get redirected to the Main Browse Page you are still able to select this page to see what is going on and what is upcoming. Yes, it took us a while, well it took us a while to convince tekky to create one.

We all hope that you are enjoying the Site and it being Ratioless, if you are still not sure what this means then let me take a little time to explain it all to you.

* Simply? AO is no longer based on the 1:1 Ratio System you have all come to live with.
* We are now basing our site simply on seed times.


Thus the new rules are simple.

* We have a thing called a Hit & Run system. This means that if you download a torrent, and don't seed for 72 hours out of 168 hours (3 days out 7) that you will get a warning.
* AO will give you the opportunity to reseed it again after that.
* If you have more then 3 infractions a month, you're account will get disabled. (The Rules / FAQ & Wiki sections will be updated to reflect this)


Now, what is in store for you over the next few weeks/months?

* Open registrations have been closed.
* Anonymous Uploads - Implemented.
* Forum Navigation - Implemented.
* We're going to be adding new User Classes. (Currently being worked on)
* Promotions will be based upon Seeding time / Upload amount. (Currently being developed)
* Downloaded total has been removed, it can still be seen along with your ratio in the Top 10 lists.
* Clicking the Category Icon will now auto search to just that Category. (for more info on this Click Here)
* Bonus System.


And now for the rest.

As you may have noticed we have currently got about 8000 registered users and on a daily basis we are seeing about 2000 active users. We have close to 6000 active torrents and we are constantly adding to this. But with this we are still seeing alot of inactive accounts.

So because of this, in the not so distant future all invites may be removed or reset to a limit (by 1st Feb). We encourage you to use what you have right now to invite your friends, family & loved ones (creating duplicate accounts will result in a warning or in some cases a ban). But, this does not mean you will not be able to get invites in the future (donating to AO still gives out 2 invites per donation).

Please feel free to add any suggestion you may have to the Suggestions forum section, and, if you do find any bugs on the site please add them to the Bug & Errors forum section.
