After overwhelmingly negative user feedback we have removed the changes for now. We will discuss this issue further, internally as well as in this newspost's thread.

[s:2751qhjh]To combat a lot of users only downloading new packs to get the free upload credit and then abandon the pack once there are not enough leechers any more we have decided to significantly lower the upload amount you can get on new packs:

<24h old: 25% of upload counted
<7 days old: 50% of upload counted
<14 days old: 75% of upload counted

This ONLY applies to NEW freeleech packs. The uploader of a pack will still get full upload credit! After two weeks, upload will count 100% for everyone.

We hope this will lead to less hit and running on new packs and help keep packs alive.[/s:2751qhjh]
