API Updates


Etheryte on our Build Team has been hard at working fixing a lot of issues and adding new features to our JSON API. We've pushed out the first set of changes today with more to come in the future. If you're a current user of the API you should verify that your applications still work correctly.

Some notable changes:

• If you search for a group that doesn't exist it no longer redirects your api call to the actual live site log search
• It is now possible to look up an individual torrent group either by id or hash and you can now also look up torrent groups by a hash
• Some calls used to return double failures before, none should do that now (e.g. ({status: failure} {status: failure})
• On certain calls the api now replies with more information about what went wrong but this is not universal yet (e.g. {"status":"failure","error":"bad id parameter"} if you provide a user id of 0)
• Fixes the following reported bugs: forums.php?action=viewthread&threadid=169763 forums.php?action=viewthread&threadid=169775 forums.php?action=viewthread&threadid=169783 forums.php?action=viewthread&threadid=169786 forums.php?action=viewthread&threadid=169790 and forums.php?action=viewthread&threadid=169791
