Bitcoin donations - 2016-01-14

We're pleased to announce that from now on we'll be accepting Bitcoin donations. We hope that in time they would completely replace Paypal donations. Bitcoins offer more hidden and anonymous way to pay and our server provider now accepts them too.

If you don't know much about Bitcoin, in short it's a digital currency and payment system that's in many ways similar to cash. There are more ways to acquire them, some easier or more anonymous than other. We are sure many of such ways will be shared in the forums. We'll prepare guides and recommendations later on.

The amount you can donate is not limited, we leave that to your judgment. For that to work we decided to set the upload reward as linear 10 GiB per EUR, and the used BTC/EUR exchange rate is always up-to-date (currently 1 BTC is 395 EUR and 1 EUR is 0.00253 BTC). Same linear reward will be for Paypal donations from now on, if there will be any needed at all, which means it's double or more.

The donation itself is simple, by clicking the button on donate page you'll get unique address that is automatically monitored and after your transaction is detected and confirmed, you'll receive the donor status and appropriate upload.
