Changes 2012 - Part 2.1 - New AM and uploader rules


Dear Users,

First of all, we introduce 3 new uploading standards: Blu-Ray and DVD-Video copies done using DVDFab; and SACD iso image copies. Feel free to immediately review the uploading guides here. The new standards are supported by a new version of our Automod which during the process got completely rewritten and modularized. We also updated the looks of the uploading interface and the front page of Uploader Rules.

Note that AM works a bit differently now and that due to the complexity of changes and our uploader rules, it may still require some troubleshooting. Please refer to this forum thread on changes in the Automod's functionality. You can report problems there just as well.

Introduction of new uploading rules sets and an updated version of AM closes the Part 2.0 of the aforementioned changes. EAC, XLD and DVD Decrypter guides will receive 'new looks' very soon. We are also in the process of assembling an exhausting Vinyl ripping photo-guide, from the process to the equipment used. Both changes will come as Part 2.1, concluding all planned uploading rules related updates (change line 2.x).

Secondly, we would like to announce that we started work on a new REQUEST section to be added to the site interface. It will be buffer GB bounty based - similar to how what.cd organized it yet it will pay more attention to the details (e.g. making it possibly to request a particular pressing or mastering, etc.). This feature will come fairly soon as it isn't really hard to code and doesn’t require the tremendous amount of testing AM updates did. This update will likely be paired with reorganization of how the 'browse torrents' section and individual torrent pages look and work. We plan much more advanced automation, i.e. automatically setting n-th hundred uploads as freebies or marking newbie uploaders' first uploads.

Thirdly, site transformation into 'new looks' continues. More and more content will receive 'the simple dark' theme looks. As soon as we are done with what's there, more v2 themes will come (e.g. a light one).
