(More) changes to the partial free leech rules - 09/03/14

Effective immediately, the following partial free leech rules are in effect:

50% Free Leech: all full discs, remuxes, caps and all internal encodes.
25% Free Leech: all internal WEB-DL's and all TV content that does not match the criteria for 50% FL.
0% Free Leech: all the content not matching any of the above.

Effective immediately, the following changes to the system and rules have been implemented:

In the past discs, certain caps and remuxes were 50% Free Leech and the rest 75% Free Leech; this has now been deprecated in favour of the following partial free leech rules:

This also means that all WEB-DL providers can and should now start marking their WEB-DL's as internal (if they are indeed internal, of course). We will take care of the past WEB-DL's.

The policy regarding xxx content and servers has and will remain unchanged.

With this change we would like everyone to be able to enjoy the high-quality content that HDBits provides and is so famous for, with less worries about ratios. On the other hand, by taking away free leech on scene and other external (and non-TV) encodes/WEB-DL's, we give a clear signal to our userbase what HDBits is about and, frankly, we need to balance out the ratio system a bit to prevent inflation.

In summary, the biggest change will be that external non-TV encodes and WEB-DL's will NOT get any more free leech (in the past this was 25%). In exchange, internal encodes and all caps are now 50% FL instead of 25% FL.
