The MTV Movie Awards will take place on Sunday, April 14, 2013. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, the cinematic showcase will highlight all of your favorite films from the year with an extra oomph of playhouse pizzazz to honor the industry. Our star, the incomparable Aussie Rebel Wilson, known for her scene-stealing roles in 'Pitch Perfect' and 'Bridesmaids', is sure to provide a major dose of LOLs that'll hit your funny bone hard. Will Ferrell will be honored with the inaugural Comedic Genius Award at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards. Known for his roles in hilarious flicks like 'Old School' and 'Anchorman,' Ferrell has been making us laugh for years and shows no signs of stopping. We can't wait to see what he has in store for the show.

Last year's Movie Awards were quite a spectacle. Russell Brand kept it crass with plenty of 'Hunger Games' jokes and 'Twilight' jabs. We saw rad performances by fun., Wiz Khalifa, and The Black Keys, featuring Generation Award honoree Johnny Depp on guitar. We also witnessed a few firsts, including newly-minted Golden Popcorns for Biggest On-Screen Dirtbag and the Trailblazer Award, as well as a socially-voted category for Best Hero. With goodies like that behind us, we know we have to bring it hard this year. And, with Rebel as our frontwoman and Will as our first honoree, we're off to a slammin' start.
