This used to be a highly sought after rare groove nugget until it's CD reissue in 2007. RAMP stands for Roy Ayers Music Production. The legendary jazz-funk vibraphonist was incredibly prolific during the seventies and early eighties. 'Come into Knowledge' is regarded as one of his best works.

Erykah Badu fans might be shocked to hear to what extend her 'Amerykahn Promise' is a copy of 'American Promise'. Other acts that sampled from this album include A Tribe Called Quest and PM Dawn. It's a relaxed, funky affair that begs to be played on hot summer nights.
