To celebrate the new year, we are kicking off a community challenge! You will have to work together in order to reach the target and receive great prizes from the gods!

What's the challenge?

What.cd had a huge collection of perfect FLACs and most of these files are probably still out there. We think it's important to preserve this great library, but in order to achieve that, we need your help!

• If we succeed in uploading 10,000 perfect FLACs before the end of the month (site time), everyone who has uploaded 10 perfect FLACs during the contest will receive 5,000 Bonus Points.

• If we succeed in uploading 25,000 perfect FLACs before the end of the month (site time), everyone who has uploaded 25 perfect FLACs during the contest will receive 12,500 Bonus Points.

• If we succeed in uploading 50,000 perfect FLACs before the end of the month (site time), everyone who has uploaded 50 perfect FLACs during the contest will receive 25,000 Bonus Points.

• If we succeed in uploading 75,000 perfect FLACs before the end of the month (site time), everyone who has uploaded 75 perfect FLACs during the contest will receive 37,500 Bonus Points.

• If we succeed in uploading 100,000 perfect FLACs before the end of the month (site time), there will be a 24-hour global freeleech and everyone who has uploaded 100 perfect FLACs during the contest will receive 100,000 Bonus Points.

• If we succeed in uploading 150,000 perfect FLACs before the end of the month (site time), everyone who has uploaded 150 perfect FLACs during the contest will receive 150,000 Bonus Points. (In addition to the global FL)

• If we succeed in uploading 200,000 perfect FLACs before the end of the month (site time), there will be a 48-hour global freeleech and everyone who has uploaded 200 perfect FLACs during the contest will receive 200,000 Bonus Points.

REMEMBER: These points are in ADDITION to what you get per upload!!!

Apollo currently has over 30,000 active users, 100,000 perfect FLACs would mean just over 3 torrents per member, which is an easy goal, considering many of you probably still have a lot of FLAC torrents on your hard drives.

Extra Bonus Points

As a reward for uploading perfect FLACs during this challenge, the amount of given Bonus Points for uploading a perfect FLAC will be doubled from 200 to 400 Bonus Points per torrent.

Contest

In order to reward the biggest contributors in this challenge, there will be an upload contest as well!

• The person that uploads the most perfect FLACs during this challenge, will receive VIP status and a unique badge (yes, badges are coming to Apollo)
• The runner up and #3 will also receive unique badges
• In addition to this, the top-3 will receive voice (+v) in #apollo on IRC.
