[Contest] Halloween 2013!

This Halloween contest is not a "who can upload the most?" contest; it is a popularity contest. Prizes will be given out to the top 3 most-snatched torrents in each category with at least 5 unique uploaders. The overall most-snatched upload will earn a special bonus prize.

Category-specific winners will receive...

3rd Place: 10,000 bP!
2nd Place: 20,000 bP!
1st Place: 50,000 bP!


The overall most-snatched uploader will also receive:

100,000 bP to spend or share!
A fancy new custom title!
1 perma-freeleech'd torrent!


All uploaders will receive 1,000 bP for every eligible upload.​

Contest Timeline

• The contest will run for 13 scary days. Friday, October 18th @ 00:00 to Thursday, October 31st @ 23:59:50 (Server Time).

To be eligible, your upload(s) must...

• Be spooky, scary, creepy-crawly, horror-filled, haunted, or all of the above. This is Halloween, after all!
• Be a new upload for this contest. No using your old stuff; we're looking for hot-off-the-presses torrents that you just created.
• Follow the rules. If your upload is reported, promptly fix it up to standards; torrents that are still hidden or have unresolved reports by midnight on Halloween will be ineligible.
• Be seeded in perpetuity. I hear that c1010010 has some zombie attack dogs ready to be released on those who abandon their uploads.
• Include the tag halloween.2013 so we can find your upload and give you tricks and treats! Or maybe just treats. Maybe.
• Be posted in the thread. Reply with a link to your torrent; if you upload more things later, edit your original post instead of making a new one. Just post in here to be counted

Those are a lot of points. What can I do with them if I win?

• Spend 'em. Want a fancy-pants bacon icon? We've got them. Want to cash them in for upload or perhaps freeleech a torrent for your fellow baconeers? Visit The Exchange to see more possibilities.
• Save 'em. Got your eyes on a high-ticket item in the Exchange? Save up your points for a rainy day.
• Make your own contest. It can be as general or as specific as you like (Hungarian podcasts about cookbooks from World War II, here we come!). Creating a contest is as simple as making a thread. Specify what you're looking for, set a bounty, and watch for eligible uploads!
• Go all Nightmare Before Christmas and give people presents. Points can be sent to other users through the Exchange or from the lucky recipient's profile page.

The fine print: All point amounts are pre-tax. Points will be distributed after November 1st. You can only win in each category once. Categories with less than 5 unique uploaders (that means 5 different people, not you uploading 5 things) are ineligible for category-specific prizes but uploaders may still receive extra goodies the staff decides it should be so. Don't try to game the contest or advertise your uploads on IRC/forums. Do upload cool stuff. Do be awesome. Why are you still reading this?
