Why am I being asked to change my password?

BTN takes security seriously.

Many internet users use the same password for several sites. This creates an issue for sites like BTN when users login information is stolen from other sites: the malicious people try to log into sites like BTN with it, and if successful they sell or trade the accounts they steal. BTN staff work hard to quickly identify and disable stolen accounts, but we need users to do their part too

Password Requirements
Passwords over 22 characters:
- No requirements
Passwords bewteen 12 and 22 characters:
- Must contain at least 3 of the following: uppercase, lowercase, numbers, special characters
Passwords with fewer than 12 characters:
- Must contain all the following: uppercase, lowercase, numbers, special characters
- Must be at least 9 characters long

Your BTN password should only be used for BTN
