    Attention Hotmail/Live/Outlook users
Recently, it has come to our attention that emails sent by ADC to users of the above services have not been arriving. All three of these email services are run by the same entity: Microsoft. The problems came about suddenly, as countless emails sent to these services had arrived without any trouble or delay for years. Thus, it appears that the problem is due to a dumb software algorithm on Microsoft's end deciding that ADC is sending spam emails rather than the legitimate emails that the site actually sends. Unfortunately, when Microsoft adds a site to one of their internal spam lists, they no longer deliver email sent by that site to their users at all - not even placing the emails in the users' spam folders. All of the other major email services will at least place such emails in the user's spam folder because they recognize that their software algorithms are not perfect and will sometimes mistakenly mark an email sender as being a spammer. But not Microsoft. They know better than their users and simply delete all emails sent by a "spammer". Since the user does not receive any expected emails from the site and Microsoft does not provide any notification that the emails were deleted undelivered, the user is incorrectly led to believe that the site is not sending the emails.

We have tried to follow Microsoft's process for getting a site removed from their spam list to no avail. Those requests are probably not even getting seen by a human. So. How can this problem be fixed? Well, that's where you come in. We need ADC members who use one of these services to let them know that the legitimate emails sent by ADC are not being delivered. You can do this by sending Microsoft customer service feedback through their service's interface by clicking on the gear icon to show the options, going to Feedback, choosing "Something is broken", choosing "Other", and then explaining your issue there. You shouldn't need to say much more than that you are no longer receiving expected emails from asiandvdclub.org. Microsoft's customer service people will then look into the matter and they should correct their mistake - that is, remove ADC from their spam list. This might take a while though, as it will likely take them receiving at least a few complaints before they do anything. We encountered a similar problem with Microsoft's services 3 or 4 years ago and they fixed their mistake after our members made several complaints about it, since ADC does have a good history and all of the appropriate records filled out.

Spending a few moments of your time to fill out their feedback form and make the complaint is in your best interest, as until Microsoft removes ADC from their spam list you will be unable to receive any ADC emails. So if you lose your password, you will be unable to get your password reset and regain access to your account until ADC is removed from the list. You will also not be notified about new PMs you've received or replies to your subscribed forum threads. Additionally, everyone will be unable to successfully invite people who use Microsoft's email services. We'll update this post when Microsoft has fixed the problem so everyone can know when those email services are working correctly again.

    Forum styling issue fixed
On an unrelated note, it also recently came to our attention that there was an issue affecting the appearance of our forums for some members. The issue was caused by a naming change not fully propagating, and it only affected members who joined within the last couple of months. Fixing the issue took a while because the problems caused by it were not reported until relatively recently and most members were not affected by the issue. However, the issue has since been fixed. So if you joined not too long ago and the forums appeared to be a mess that was rather difficult to read, know that this was not by design and the forums will now appear much more readable to you.
