Thriller/Horror Fresh Upload Freeleech!


Some of you have been asking about the extra freeleech popping up here and there. What you've stumbled on is a little Halloween surprise we've thrown up in conjunction with the Halloween Horror upload contest.

From now until Midnight GMT on October 31st any torrent uploaded with either the "horror" or "thriller" tags will be freeleech for 24 hours. This is the first of a few surprises we have in store for Halloween and the second birthday of Pass the Popcorn. Look out for the rest over the coming weeks. For now just remember the more horror you upload, the more freeleech you get. So start uploading and remember to enter the Halloween Horror contest! Keep in mind that anyone caught abusing the system by mistagging uploads will be punished appropriately.

For those of you that care: The development/IRC/Backup server has been purchased. It cost us an additional $130 for the month of October which went to setup and prorated costs. This has been subtracted from the donation counter, which is now correct. Our monthly hosting costs are now once again $450/mo.
