    NEWS DISCUSSIONS :: IMPORTING CHANGE COMING - API

    Hello RFM,

    Please take the time to read this announcement, especially when you're using our RSS feed to download torrent files.
    Racing For Me : News

    This friday, we will implement possibly our most important feature for RFM ever, our API. For all those that use the RSS feed, not a whole lot will change, except for the fact that you will need a new URL and things will become A LOT easier.

    The current RSS setup still requires some of you to add your RFM cookie and personal IDH (encrypted password) to your clients. Our API will allow you to download torrents and NZB's using your own personal API key (previously known as "torrent pass"). This completely eliminates the need for cookies and encrypted passwords to be added to the RSS feed.

    A lot safer and a lot easier for everyone.

    Obviously the API will be able to do a whole lot more, for example:
    - Browse torrents or NZB's;
    - View torrent/NZB details;
    - Add comments and/or wallposts;
    - Upload torrents or NZB's;
    - Update the capture schedule;
    - and a whole lot more...

    As soon as these features will become available, we will add a new announcement and a list of all possibilities for it. For now though, the most important change is the way how you download your files through external sources, ie your torrent clients. When the API has been launched on friday, we will update this post and keep you informed.

    Please don't panic just yet, the old method will continue to work for another week to give you time to make the necessary adjustments.

    To give you an example, the old RSS URL would look something like this:

    https://www.racingfor.me/rss/UID/TOR...D;idh=PASSHASH

    With the API, that will change to something like: https://api.racingfor.me/browse/APIKEY

    More information will follow later, once the API has been launched!
