Passwords, email and the changeover
In the very near future we plan to do the changeover to the new site software.

One issue we have not managed to resolve (and wont) is the different way the two sites Encrypt passwords. This means while most passwords will transfer over a fine a reasonable number will not.

So if your password doesn't work on the new site you will need to reset it using your Email address.

This raises a very big issue. A lot of you didn't give real email addresses. Even more of you no longer have access to the email address you signed up with.

Sadly the email change function here does not work (but does on the new version). It requires a manual change.

So here's what we need ASAP.

We need everyone to check their email address here is valid and that they can still get into it

If you can no longer get into your email or its not valid please send a staff message using the contact link with a new email address and we will do our best to change them all.

Its going to save a lot of heartache if your one of the unlucky ones whose passwords does not carry over correctly if you can easily reset it yourself.

For those who don't check this expect long delays trying to reset it via the IRC but we will do our best to make sure everyone carries over fine.
