A Few Changes...

Maintenance - You may experience some sluggish-ness, downtime, etc. Don't fret, we are making some changes to the backend and all things will be normal soon enough. This is just a warning.

How we name things.

We've been naming movies using the 'Movie Name (Year).mp4' way for a while now, but we are going to be changing that very soon, infact you will slowly start to see the change over the course of the month. By June 1st all of the encoders here will be using this new naming convention.

What is the Purpose?

Well for one, it would allow us to conform to 'scene' standards and other tracker standards, which is a big goal for us here, we want to grow our site here and we as the internals need to set that standard for any other groups who may join us.

Also, by using the 'scene' standard we have much more descriptive file names.

Example: This.Means.War.2012.BluRay.1080p.x264.AC3-PxHD.mp4

You know the movie name, year, source, resolution, codec, and audio as well as the release group. We will be doing TV Shows, Mobies, PxHD, and BxEHD releases all the same way, or similar.

Donations

They are coming in slowly, but not near enough to cover the monthly costs yet. We have lots of features planned for the site, but we are holding onto them till we reach our goal for the month.

Torrent Details and Details Page

Should donations go well, which we hope they do, we will be dumping a large charge to the torrent details page later this month. By large, I do mean large. Just a bit of a hint, you probably won't ever have to leave this site to visit IMDb again. It's a very robust change and we are looking forward to implementing it. We will also be adding a section for Subtitles for PGS or SRT files for the movies, we've been messing about and we think we've got some pretty large leaps on the Torrent Details page front.

All That Information, What to do With It?

We are going to be storing a ton of information, a ton. So we want to use it as much as possible. This won't roll out at the same time, but it will in the future, but everything is going to be clickable, sortable, searchable.

Rated R movies, no problem. Action movies, done. Tom Cruise movies, easy. Steven Spielberg movies, let's go. Danny Elfman composed movies, play that sweet music.

It's going to be a very good experience, hopefully better than any thing else out there. Like I said, we don't want you to leave this site and go to IMDb.


We are also working on a few new themes (stylesheets) for the site, they should be up later this month, along with an official theme and official mobile theme change coming as well. We are going to try and maximize screen real-estate so we can take advantage of that beautiful movie art on the details pages.
