We're completely revamping CE's monthly music publication, Up Beat. Our new approach is to have it powered by you, the CE community.

Got an album you love? Tell us about it! Got an album you think is horrible, overrated, or that you just want your friends to not waste their time on? Tell us about it!

We're not looking for professional writers, we're looking for real, normal members' opinions on the albums you feel strongly about. I'll personally be going through each submission and touching them up if needed, so don't be shy if you're not a perfect writer. It'll look good before it hits publication.

What's in it for you?

* We'll be giving Fame points for each review you submit! Since the store isn't quite finished yet, we haven't determined how many points you'll get per post, but rest assured that it's going to be generous and proportional to your effort
* Your name will be associated with each review, so you'll meet new people who like the same music as you and want to discuss it

User class promotion available!!
If you're dedicated to contributing reviews, you'll be rewarded with a completely new 'Editor' user class!

* Post 5 reviews => Get promoted to Editor and receive 1 invite
* Receive not just bonus points for reviews, but also CE invites
* Get access to new forum sections, which has various benefits...

How it works
First, take a look at my reviews here. That'll give you a rough idea of what we're looking for. Generally speaking, something along these lines:

* 3-5 paragraphs
* Friendly, approachable tone
* Totally your own work (i.e. no copying and pasting of other sites' reviews; CE wants to know YOUR thoughts)

Submitting a review is easy. We've created a template for you to use, with the BBCodes all embedded and ready to go. You'll find it in the quote box at the bottom of this post. Just copy it and paste it into a PM, fill in your review around it, and send it to me. (You can use this link to PM me.)

I'll take it from there.

If you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to hit me up in a PM. You can also try me on IRC. I'm always logged in, but kinda in and out throughout the day, so don't take it personally if I don't answer you immediately there.

Also, we're always open to new ideas and recommendations. Feel free to PM me or post your ideas in this thread. We'll consider anything you throw our way.
