    May Theme: Quixotic

    michelle:

Passenger - Things that Stop You Dreaming: A sweet, dreamy opening track to one of my most-rinsed CD's of 2013. And our eyes shine bright like a sky full of comets that shoot like silver trains

    Vitz:

Amon Tobin - Lost & Found: Perfection is an impossible feat to achieve. Amon Tobin went for it anyway. This is the future. An album so ambitious, so unbelievably well-crafted, so infinitely detailed. It all results in what is an absolute wonder, yet a far cry from perfection. To "understand" this album (at the risk of sounding pretentious) is more than just liking how it sounds. In fact, most people won't like how it sounds. This is an album that needs studying because it's the next step. And that's not what perfection is. But it is one of most amazing things I've ever laid ears on. If this were religion, I'd be a fanatic.

    Pogglywoggly:

Circa Survive - Think of Me When They Sound: Dreamy, warm, full of illusion. Sounds totally out of this planet.

    izmo:

Best Friends Forever - Twins in Love: "oh i don't know you, maybe that's why i think you're the perfect person; i can fill in the gaps any way i want to and spend my time dreaming of the fake you"

    lostsupper:

Gorilla Biscuits - Start Today: To be sixteen again, tilting at windmills.

    olenpriit:

Araabmuzik - Electronic Dream: This album always sounded to me like somebody wanted to take the music you hear at your local gym and make it into something rich, vibrant and beautiful. What's funny is that he pulled it off. Still I can't help but envision sweaty guys lifting weights to the intro of "Golden Touch"

    Woodenhead:

    35007 - 20 09: Music is mathematics made audible. ~ Boethius

    Nomado:

Seal - Kiss From a Rose: Yes, it might sound too cliché, to whom it may concern, but "Kiss from a Rose" has been covered numerous times and it is still a beautiful quixotic, romantic ballad.

    condon313:

Minor Threat - Out of Step: Sometimes the simplest philosophies are the most extreme. What's more quixotic than adhering to ideals that alienate you simultaneously from mainstream and counterculture? "Don't smoke Don't drink Don't fuck At least I can fucking think"

    Samhain:

Kayo Dot - The Manifold Curiosity: Kayo Dot sounds like the music you would hear in your dreams. I have no idea if this fulfills the theme but its the track and album that came into mind when I was pondering it over.
