We have been under a serious flood attack since yesterday. It also took down a few other trackers on the same host for about an hour yesterday, but it is directed at us. he came into IRC, asked for an invite, a staff member informed him we do not have any invites (which we dont) and he got really angry and threatened this, 2 minutes later BOOM!! the servers were down.

2 things now:

It is being directed from Brazil, Now I do not want to ban all of Brazil but we may have no other choice, so if you are ffrom Brazil and all of a sudden you cant get in, then this will probably be the reason, Like i said, I really dont want to have to do this, but for the good of the site, we may have to, even if its just a temporary measure.

2nd thing is this attack is using a lot of BW, we are only on a 10MBs server and the hosts have had to increase that to 100MBs, yesterday they had to decrease the port unless i would have got a huge BW bill. Now i am not sure if we are still going to get a huge BW bill or if everything is ok for now, but i have informed the hosts that if we do go over the BW, with donations being abysmal at the moment, to just close the site and contact me (rather than run up a bill and then contact me), this is not a plea for donations, its just to inform everyone that if the site goes down, you have a reason why its gone down, and hopefully it wont be down for too long.

anyway thats the reason for a very slow site at the moment (there is other underlying problems which have been going on for a few months now, as to why the site is sometimes slow and sometimes fast, but this is the reason for really long load times and tracker timeouts over the past 24 hours or so).
