The fight against piracy is gaining momentum.

Major companies have been working relentlessly in order to have the law protected.

The police across the planet has united for this cause of censoring piracy and controlling it to the extent possible.

Due to the freedom of internet users, there seems to be no absolute way of curbing piracy, but taking down the websites which actively engage in promoting piracy is one of the best ways to control the situation.

With global piracy levels at an all time high, the international police has been co-ordinating in order to gain some amount of control over these illegal tasks.

Major names in piracy such as The Pirate Bay and Kick Ass Torrents have been under the scanner of every agency fighting against piracy.

These two are the global leaders in torrent sharing, where a large number of people upload illegal content which is downloaded by millions of people across the planet.

These sites have been around for a long time, and despite various seizures and attempts at curbing their activities, the torrents remain to cause nuisance for the governments and anti-piracy groups worldwide.

Reports have been flowing in that KickAssTorrents’ domain, KickAss.IM was seized by the governments of the Isle of Man in 24 hours of them having activated. This had brought them back to their old domain, and were back to Kickass.

To for a while before they decided to move ahead and join the Costa Rican registrars at KickAss.cr, which is now the current home of the Kick Ass Torrents website.

ThePirateBay is under the scanner, as always, and people have been noticing it that the domain has been down a lot nowadays. Thepiratebay.se has been seized and even they are depending on various different registrars to continue their online existence.

Despite being in sheer crisis, all these torrent sites are keeping their existence alive, barely managing to escape the hands of law and are promoting these illegal businesses.

The future of piracy looks bleak, though it is impractical to wipe piracy off the internet, it is a high possibility that it would be very controlled and very limited in the years to come, and piracy has seen its high point now and is never going to rise back to the level that it used to be. What are your views on it?
