We're back! Our trusty SSD that's faithfully run our system for years finally died in spectacular fashion last week. What can ya do? It happens, and that's why backups exist.

We've always been pretty good with our backups - but it can be difficult to remember that some of the steps we take to keep our data safe can add significant time to the restoration procedure. Add to that some fairly major technology swaps and we're back with the same site you remember, but it should be a bit faster, as well as a bit more secure as well.

And I'll be honest here- some of these restore procedures weren't fresh in our minds. But good planning and a staff who understands IT and management issues, and how each piece of the backup puzzle fits together resulted in a restored site with just ~4 hours of data lost (which was simply from the time in between backups). Torrents from around that time might have vanished off the site, so if you notice any, let us know.
