IMPORTANT - READ THIS


Earlier today someone used a compromised account to send a large amount of PM's pointing to a user account which used an exploit to send you to another page where a virus was downloaded onto the users computer.

Fortunately only a small majority of users were effected by this. Only those of you who clicked the profile link were effected.
If you opened the PM before I changed the message, you probably noticed you were logged out. This was to prevent your account from potentially getting compromised before you were able to read this message.

If you opened the PM and saw "removed", then you're fine. Ignore this.

If you were one of those users who tried to "find the easter egg" and clicked the profile link, I suggest you take action. From what we were able to decipher, this should only have effected Windows users. Most virus scans did not detect this, however I believe Windows Security Essentials should.

The only details on the virus we can verify for certain is that it downloads a file on your computer, runs it, then downloads a payload with another file.
I would strongly suggest you change your password here and anywhere else you feel necessary. There's really no telling what the virus does once it downloads it's payload.

I sincerely apologize if you were effected by this. The exploit has been closed, and in the future please don't click random links sent to you. Especially one claiming to give VIP from a user who can't even promise such a reward.
