GazelleGames (GGn) website & IRC (somewhat) are back

Three months ago, we started getting DDoS attacked by an unknown party, resulting in all our services going down. We recovered soon, however, the attacker(s) were relentless and continuous attacks took down all our servers once again.

Due to the DDoS attacks, we lost couple of our servers and had to set everything up from scratch using the backups that we had. Real life got in the way a lot as well, resulting in things taking longer than usual. We have spent these past months redoing our entire infrastructure, adding some DDoS protection, and basically changed all our servers. Naturally our financial needs have grown as well but nothing we can't afford.

At present, the situation of our core services is as follows:

Site:

The site is up. However, a lot of features have been disabled temporarily for security reasons and will be turned back on slowly as things start settling down.

Tracker:

Tracker is being prep'd for re-launch. There are a couple of security and technical issues that need to be dealt with.

IRC:

IRC is up and running. However, Vertigo is currently disabled so you cannot join your regular channels at the moment. In the meantime, you can idle and talk in #Testing.

Mail:

Mails are currently disabled so you cannot send invites or reset passwords at present. Mail server is currently being worked on and will be available in due course.

I would also like to take this time to apologize to you all for not being able deliver the holiday festivities to the great people of GGn. Rest assured however that you will be compensated for this.
