On Oct. 31st, 2007, roughly 5 years ago, I was given a invite to join What.CD. A year later, I was promoted to Beta Team by A9, and 6 months after that, I was asked by Whatman to join the staff as a moderator. Finally, in May 2010, I was asked to become an administrator for What.CD. Today, and like most of the staff members from the time I was promoted to join the team, I'm becoming a user again. With this short message, it's these former and also current staff members I'd like to thank first, for the work, dedication and care they put for the community. I'm glad to say I consider some of them to be real friends. What.CD would also not be the same without its community, which allowed me to meet some amazing people, to whom What.CD and music were as important as they were to me.

One last thing I'd like to share with you before I finally post this and hit the button that will put the end to an era of my life (sounds dramatic right?). These last years, some states, pushed by big corporations, have reinforced their means to shut down sites like What.CD. Don't just wait for that to happen; you can actually do something. If you don't do it already, get involved. Vote. You, the people, have the power. And it's really up to you to choose your leaders, who should work for you, and not for big corporations. In the coming years, the world might change in very different ways: it's up to you to decide which way you want to go.
