Tracker Downtime:

altinertia is planning on updating our tracker backend this weekend, hopefully Friday night. This will mean the tracker will have to be taken down for maintenance whilst he is updating it. The updated XBTT also uses a new passkey system, so when we do come back online, everyone will have to redownload all the torrents they are seeding/downloading from the tracker again, as the ones you have now, will not work. (you do not have to re-doenload the data, just the .torrent) It does need updating though, as the one we are using is a good 4 years old.

Update:

The tracker will go down, the site will be staying up.
We may not have to change the passkey system, but alt wont know for definate until he updates.
The new passkey system, is a torrent pass, not user pass like we have now, so every torrent will have a new passkey in it, so slimmmmm`s idea will not work unfortunatly, but hopefully if we do not need to change the system it will be a mute point anyway.

Gigs for Ł:

For the record I hate this, but the members seem to like it, we have lost about 25 donation subscriptions in the last week (cancelled) so I have reluctantly decided to bring it back. The 7 GB for Ł1 was only for our 7th Birthday Bonus, so it is not that much, but it is 3 GB for every Ł1 donated.
